The advent of social media brought about a faster means for moviegoers to share their opinion on films, and sometimes, they even tend to give spoilers. “Magandang Buhay” host Karla Estrada, who is not blind to this fact, encouraged fans on Twitter to watch out for the spoilers on son Daniel Padilla and Kathryn Bernardo’s latest film “The Hows of Us” (THOU).

“Ok ulitin ko! Bantayan natin ang mga spoiler sa movie!” wrote Estrada in a post via Twitter last Tuesday, Aug. 28. “Wag sayangin ang pinagpaguran ng Team THOU! Yan tama na see you mga momshie, popshie at anakshie!

(Okay, let me repeat: let’s be on the lookout for movie spoilers! Let’s not waste Team THOU’s efforts! Okay that’s enough, see you mothers, fathers and children!)

She also retweeted a fan account’s tweet, telling KathNiel fans they are encouraged to report spoilers and are prohibited from spoiling or camcording “The Hows of Us”.

But apparently, one netizen, Bella Crawford, has managed to share the film’s plot as well as the number of times Bernardo and Padilla locked lips in the film, on her Facebook account. The netizen’s post had gone viral, garnering thousands of likes and reactions.

KathNiel’s fans were quick to report the netizen’s post to Estrada.

The said post, however, had been taken down, as of this writing.

Meanwhile, even celebrities couldn’t help but express their admiration for the film.

“I think I have found my most favorite movie,” said TV host and actor Robi Domingo.

Comedian Kakai Bautista also sang praises for the film: “Art imitates life. In every form, it reminds us of what we are, what we have and what we could give, what story we could tell. Reminds us that we are human and we live to FEEL. Thank you #TheHowsOfUs.”

Comedian Chokoleit also gave his two cents on the film.

“Kathryn B is beautifully photographed and in her best element. DJ charms in subtle flavor,” said Chokoleit. “Napakasimpatiko. Ang lutong ng mga linyahan. Ang linis ng pelikula. Ansarap sa mata.

(It’s very sympathetic. The lines are crisp. The film is polished. It’s pleasing to the eyes.) JB
