Cathy Garcia-Molina wants last movie to be with John Lloyd Cruz

She is only counting down to her last movies and blockbuster director Cathy Garcia-Molina wants the last curtain call to be with award-winning actor and her good friend John Lloyd Cruz.
Molina has been open about her intent to retire by 2019. By now, she only has three more films to do before she bids goodbye to the industry that gave her the avenue to make some of the most iconic love movies of all time.
Her Kathryn Bernardo-Daniel Padilla starrer “The Hows of Us,” which is set to hit cinemas this coming August 29, is her fourth to the last.
Her next would be the reunion movie of Megastar Sharon Cuneta and ultimate Adonis Richard Gomez. She has already promised her second to the last movie with Kapamilya hunk Piolo Pascual. For her last, she hopes it would be with Cruz.
“After this po tatlo, after nito ‘yung kay Sharon, Richard, and Kathryn. After that ‘yun ‘yung down to the last two. ‘Yung isa pinapangako ko kay Piolo, ‘yung isa ang hindi ko talaga alam,” she said at the recent media launch of “The Hows of Us.”
“Of course I’m hoping I do it with my John Lloyd but I don’t know if he’s ready but of course sana si Idan,” she added.
Asked if she would want to convince Cruz to come back, she said: “oo [but] ‘wag ngayon, try natin next year.”
Cruz has been away from the limelight since rumors about his romance with sexy actress Ellen Adarna surfaced late last year.
It was then immediately followed by social media posts that got his fans offended. With continuous intrigues about him, ABS-CBN announced that he would be on an indefinite leave from work to attend to personal matters.
However, just a few months after, rumors about Adarna being pregnant with his first child soon followed. Just recently, Adarna’s camp, through her lawyer Rebo Saguisag confirmed that indeed, the actress has given birth.
There is still no sign, however, that Cruz intends to go back to showbiz any time soon.
