Yes, we're pregnant :-) Not just pregnant with hope. But pregnant for real. And naturally conceived. So we've been trying to be pregnant since we get married four years ago. Miriam and I had tried IVF two years ago, but it didn't work for us. In her heart, she was still praying for a natural pregnancy. Holding on to God's promise to her years ago when she was single and contemplating to freeze her eggs on the eve of her 36th birthday. But now as she approached 43 last May, we decided that we'd try IVF or adoption again if she wasn't pregnant by her birthday. Her birthday passed by and so that perfect beautiful morning when Miriam was about to proceed with the IVF prep meds, I asked her to take a pregnancy test, just in case. She came out of the toilet giggling and beaming. There were two lines. We both giggled like little kids and hopped around, thanking Jesus for this miracle. I woke up Joshua and told him he was going to be a kuya. And now @miriamq888 is 9 weeks pregnant. I'm also pregnant. Pregnant with hope for the future, pregnant with gratefulness to God, and pregnant with love for the baby that's growing in my beautiful wife's tummy. We hadn't planned to make this public yet but at an interview at the media launch last friday of the Home School Global conference, Miriam mentioned that she was pregnant. The next morning it was online on ABS CBN. So we decided to announce it on her IG this morning. By mid day the good news was on GMA as well. Thanks for all your messages of encouragement and love. Thanks to all 99 of you who prayed specifically for this to happen. Thanks to those who even inspired me to ask for the moon! God heard our prayers! Keep the faith and keep on hoping and praying. God's timing is always perfect. Every good gift and every perfect gift is from above, and comes down from the Father of lights, with whom there is no variation or shadow of turning. Ardy Roberto recounted the struggles he and Quiambao faced when they were trying to conceive. He said that they have been trying to get pregnant since their wedding in 2014. The couple, apparently, had tried in-vitro fertilization (IVF) two years ago. However, it was not successful.
“In her heart, she was still praying for a natural pregnancy,” stated Roberto. “Holding on to God’s promise to her years ago when she was single and contemplating to freeze her eggs on the eve of her 36th birthday.”
Back when Quiambao has yet to celebrate her 43rd birthday in May, the couple decided that they will either give IVF another try or resort to adoption if Quiambao is not yet pregnant by her birthday.
Quiambao’s birthday on May 20 passed by and they still weren’t pregnant — or so they thought.
During the morning when Miriam was supposed to start taking her IVF preparation medicines, Roberto asked her to take a pregnancy test just to be sure that they haven’t conceived.
“She came out of the toilet giggling and beaming. There were to lines,” said Roberto, noting how happy Quiambao was when she discovered she was indeed pregnant. “We both giggled like little kids and hopped around, thanking Jesus for this miracle. I woke up Joshua and told him he was going to be a kuya.”
“I’m also pregnant. Pregnant with hope for the future, pregnant with gratefulness to God, and pregnant with love for the baby that’s growing in my beautiful wife’s tummy,” noted Roberto. “Keep the faith and keep on hoping and praying. God’s timing is always perfect.” JB
