K-pop boy group BTS has announced that it will be adding Citi Field in New York City as part of its upcoming world tour, making this the group’s first stadium concert in the United States.
Citi Field seats a massive 40,000 audiences and was added to their North American tour by their agency, Big Hit Entertainment, on the morning of Aug. 9. The performance is slated on Oct. 6, and will make BTS the first ever K-pop act to be able to hold a solo concert in an American stadium.
BTS will kickstart its world tour entitled “Love Yourself: BTS World Tour” on Aug. 25 and 26 at the Olympic Stadium in Seoul, South Korea. The boy group will be visiting 16 countries with a total of 33 performances.
BTS is also slated for a new album release on Aug. 24. Their upcoming album is entitled “Love Yourself: Answer” and is a part of their “Love Yourself” album series. JB
