Rich Asuncion expecting first child with Benjamin Mudie: ‘We did it!’

“Starstruck: The Next Level” alumna and Binibining Pilipinas 2009 first runner up Rich Asuncion is expecting her first child with husband, rugby player Benjamin Mudie.
Asuncion made the announcement on her Instagram page yesterday, July 31. The announcement made the day extra special, being also the birthday of her husband.

The actress stated how they found out they were going to be parents via a YouTube vlog. In the video, the two are seen waiting for the results of a home pregnancy test.
After minutes of waiting, Mudie shared that it was a false alarm, as Asuncion misused the test. He joked: “Let’s just pray the baby doesn’t take after in terms of this stupidness, the [silliness] genes!”
After goofing off, the couple again had to wait for their second attempt at the pregnancy test. Mudie showed to the camera the test having two lines — an indication that they are indeed pregnant.
And not forgetting that it was Mudie’s birthday too, both went out to celebrate his special day, with him getting a sweet treat. Asuncion greeted him: “Happy Birthday soon-to-be Daddy!!! -From me and your little one.”

Asuncion and Mudie tied the knot at the Hong Kong Marriage Registry back in May. They had been dating for three years, and met through mutual friends Yasmien Kurdi and her husband, Rey Soldevilla Jr. JB
