Gretchen Barretto on being called a mistress: ‘I’m the kabit who’ll live happily ever after’

Gretchen Barretto’s relationship with partner Antonio “Tonyboy” Cojuangco has always been an open book. This time, the eldest of the Barretto clan spoke up against an online basher who persistently sends her negative comments.
“Old news yes, I am all that you say I am [and] you follow me on Instagram,” wrote Barretto in a post she uploaded via the platform yesterday, July 28. “I am who I am [and] I so [love] it [and] you [d]ie in envy burn, burn, burn.”
“I am the kabit (concubine) who will live [h]appily ever after [and] you will be the envious who will die each time you see me soar high,” added the actress. “Rest In Peace envious [b****] I shall soar high while you die.”
Barretto posted a screen grab of the alleged basher Frederick Dison’s (@boshie1185) reply on one of her Instagram Stories, sharing the Instagram page of the said basher. She had written “LLL for Loser [face screaming in fear emoji]” alongside the Instagram handle of Dison.
“Kirida the dakilang kabit (Mistress, the great concubine),” said the basher. “Greta, kirida, kabit (mistress, concubine) sounds like a tongue twister.”

Barretto’s fans were quick to express their support for the actress, applauding her for her tough remarks against the basher.
Earlier yesterday, Barretto shared another screengrab of the comment Dison left on one of her Instagram posts. “I hope you could do better on the social media than showing off your lifestyle Ms. Greta,” commented the basher. “If you could do even better. #JUSTSAYING.”
The actress retorted: “@boshie1185 really, like bashing me is something better than what I am posting ?! I am who I am & I will do whatever pleases me Deal with it C’est la vie.”

Barretto for some time now has apparently owned up to the mistress tag she has been repeatedly labeled with. Despite being together with the business tycoon for more than two decades, Cojuangco has yet to annul his marriage with equestrienne Denise Yabut Cojuangco. JB
