“Arrow” actor Colton Haynes has been getting rude comments on social media about his weight gain.

One such remark went, “What the hell did you do to your face?”

Haynes, unperturbed, responded, “Gained 30 lbs. from stress eating. I’m wearing a ton of makeup. I’m getting older. Any other questions?”

Another user commented: “Wtf is happening to Colton Haynes’ face… Fillers? Carbs? I’m so confused.”

His comedienne friend, Kathy Griffin, defended the gay actor with a cuss-filled response. But Haynes eventually addressed it with a tweet.

“I’ve gained about 35 lbs. due to stress this year… just food… and not working out. Hope I gave you all the answers you wanted.”

His mother succumbed to cancer in March. Some speculated that the stress was also due to his split from florist Jeff Leatham, whom he married in 2017. They were spotted last week at an airport, rumored to have reconciled.

Haynes, against the advice of helpful fans who told him to ignore “trollish” behavior, still reacts to them, if sparingly. To an Instagram user who described one of his recent pictures as being “too gay,” Haynes merely responded with “That’s a compliment. Thank you!”—OLIVER PULUMBARIT
