Support from Hollywood celebrities poured in for singer-songwriter Demi Lovato after news of her apparent drug overdose surfaced.

It was Tuesday, July 24, when a woman reported to be Lovato was rushed to a Los Angeles hospital after she was discovered unconscious. Emergency medical responders have since revived her with Narcan, a medication used for complete or partial reversal of opioid overdose.

One of the many celebrities who rallied behind Lovato was Mother Monster Lady Gaga who took to her Twitter on July 25 to wish Lovato “self-compassion and inner peace.”

“We should all wrap our arms of love around Demi Lovato,” wrote Lady Gaga. “I am so happy you’re alive. Thank God. If I know my monsters as well as I believe I do, we all wish you self-compassion and inner peace.”

“And may you receive the love so many have for you,” added Lady Gaga. “#ImConfidentInDemi Demi, I love you.”

Comedian and talk show host Ellen DeGeneres also expressed her love for Lovato, sending out a tweet of support for her and her family.

“I love @DDLovato [Demi Lovato] so much. It breaks my heart that she is going through this,” said DeGeneres. “She is a light in this world, and I am sending my love to her and her family.”

Supermodel and “America’s Next Top Model” host Tyra Banks, on the other hand, wrote in her tweet that addiction is “not a choice” and wished for Lovato’s complete recovery.

“Addiction is not a choice. My heavy heart sends healing love to@ddlovato, and I pray she recovers fully and with great health.”

“Orange Is the New Black” star and recording artist Ruby Rose said, too, that her whole heart and soul is with Lovato during this difficult time.

“I adore you and so does the entire world,” wrote Rose on Twitter. “You will fight this and you will come out of it even stronger. Addiction is powerful beyond measure, but you can defeat it. I love you.”

Rapper and producer Missy Elliott, meanwhile, urged people to have compassion as they are never aware of what people may be going through.

“Sending Prayers for Demi Lovato you just never know what people are going through so people have compassion & no jokes,” urged Elliott. “But let’s be encouraging so she will get the help she needs.”

Lili Reinhart of drama series “Riverdale” spoke about how Lovato was an inspiration to her when she was 14 years old.

“When I was 14, she was an idol to me in how she spoke so openly about mental health,” wrote Reinhart. “And now she continues to inspire thousands of young men and women with her body positivity messages.”

Singer-songwriter Kehlani, who went on tour with Lovato last April, shared that Lovato’s apparent overdose is a personal moment.

“Sending huge recovery love to Demi. This is a very personal moment and [must be] respected delicately,” wrote Kehlani. “All we can do is send our best wishes and love. Addiction isn’t simple nor easy. You’re very loved, @ddlovato you’ll beat this as you did before.”

Lovato has been open in the past about her own struggles with addiction, coupled with depression and eating disorders. In her documentary back in 2012, she revealed that she used to snort cocaine multiple times a day.

Last June, Lovato released a single called “Sober”. It may be gleaned from the harrowing lyrics of her song that she may have had a relapse, as the lines go, “I don’t know why I do it every time, it’s only when I’m lonely” and “Momma, I’m so sorry, I’m not sober anymore.”

As of this writing, Lovato is already awake and in the presence of her loved ones. NVG
