Despite being one of the most iconic actresses of her time, these days Dawn Zulueta seems to be spending more of her time with her family than on the big screen. A glance at Zulueta’s Instagram account shows manifold pictures of her travels with her two young children, Jacobo and Ayisha, and husband, public servant Anton Lagdameo.

Zulueta and Lagdameo tied the knot two decades ago back in December 1997 at the University Club in Manhattan, New York City. Such a long and prosperous marriage is bound to have some wondering how the two have managed to stay in love with each other all these years, but Zulueta proved that when it comes to a lasting marriage, that showing appreciation for your significant other may just be one of the non-negotiables.

Zulueta took to her Instagram account yesterday, July 4, to share a short but sweet message she wrote for her husband. She accompanied the post with a candid photo of the two of them holding each other close, with Zulueta’s arm around her husband’s neck.

Zulueta said in the end, too, that sweet messages to one’s partner aren’t just reserved for special occasions. “Appreciation posts can’t wait until the next birthday or anniversary,” said Zulueta.

It’s a truth that seemingly doesn’t get repeated enough. It’s undeniable that during Mother’s Day, Father’s Day, as well as Valentine’s Day, a barrage of appreciation posts pervade social media accounts, with many expressing their appreciation for their loved ones. But these words of love, according to Zulueta, shouldn’t just be uttered during such occasions but whenever one gets the chance.

Lagdameo, a man of few words, replied to Zulueta’s post with, “Love you darling.”

On his end, Lagdameo recently shared photos of their family enjoying their time in London. More than just a loving husband, Lagdameo, too, is a doting father.

The pictures showed the family of four dressed fancily, with the gentlemen wearing suits and top hats. The family, too, took pictures with wax figures of Muhammad Ali and Michael Jackson, among others, at Madame Tussauds and also smiled widely for the camera while inside the train. /ra
