Mariel Rodriguez-Padilla made a television comeback as a host for noon-time variety show “It’s Showtime.”
An Instagram post dated June 18 had Rodriguez thanking several parties for the warm welcome. She also mentioned husband Robin Padilla’s support for her decision.
“Officially back on tv!!! Thank you Madlang People!!!” she wrote. “Sa aking @itsshowtimeofficial_ig family salamat sa warm welcome (To my “It’s Showtime family, thanks for the warm welcome)..”

On a separate post uploaded on the same day, Rodriguez mentioned Padilla had ordered food through a catering service and had it sent to the set of “It’s Showtime” for everyone to enjoy.
Rodriguez went on maternity leave from hosting “It’s Showtime” on Aug. 2016. She was pregnant with her baby Isabella at the time. Maria Isabella Padilla is now one year old. She celebrated her first birthday on Nov. 14, 2017 with a Spanish-themed celebration put together by parents Padilla and Rodriguez.
