Garrett’s worthy cause
“King Cobra” actor Garrett Clayton has found a worthy cause to rally behind. He is helping represent a group focused on bringing awareness to the lack of clean, potable water in certain parts of the world.
Attending the recent Annual Paul Mitchell Schools FUNraising Gala in Los Angeles, the former Disney star posted a photo on Instagram of the occasion with the caption, “They have donated $100,000 every year for the last three years to the Thirst Project. None of that would be possible without the hardworking students who help to raise the money.”
Clayton, 27, added, “Thank you for letting me be a part of such a beautiful night! Thirst Project is such a valuable tool to fight the global water crisis—and everyone deserves to have clean drinking water … please get involved!”
According to Thirstproject.org, it aims to “end the global water crisis … by activating [students] to rock the clean water cause and build water projects all over the world.” The organization has helped 13 countries and raised $8.8 million, to date.
Other actors who have teamed up with the group are Dacre Montgomery and Charisma Carpenter.—OLIVER PULUMBARIT
