LOOK: Mouthwatering reasons why ‘Wok of Love’ will wake the lover (and foodie!) in you
Binge-watching culture often involves food. During long weekends, holidays or vacation leaves, drama enthusiasts only have two main agenda for the day: what series to watch and what food to eat while watching. So, how about considering a new Viu series which merges a good story and food?
Directed by Park Seon Ho, “Wok of Love” follows a story of survival, food and love. Starring Jang Hyuk, Lee Joon-Ho and Jung Ryeo-Won, it is tagged as “a love story hotter than the boiling oil in a sizzling hot wok.”
Here’s the plot: across the street of the six-star Hotel Giant, there stands a small, shabby Chinese restaurant, Hungry Wok.
Chil Seong, the owner of the restaurant, originally took over the restaurant in order to provide a place to work for his former prison mates.
One day, a man and a woman whose lives turned upside down overnight came to visit Chil Seong. A former star chef, Seo Poong, and a broke heiress, Sae Woo, are in need of Chil Seong’s help to get back on their feet.
