The way to a man’s heart is through his stomach, so the adage goes.

But many will agree that it applies to either sex, and it seems star couple Judy Ann Santos and Ryan Agoncillo have figured this out a long time ago—they have, after all, been married for eight years.

To celebrate their successful marriage, the two set off for Italy to do what they love best: eat and cook.

Their Instagram posts have featured them enjoying the best of delectable Italian cuisine from pasta to gelato, cooking in the Vatican and even hunting for hard-to-find truffles with dogs.

Their Italian food trip has paid off with more than just satisfied stomachs: They have each claimed a Certificate of Proficiency in Italian Cuisine from the Food and Wine Academy of Florence.

According to Santos’ Instagram post, the couple learned to make gelato, pasta and tiramisu.

As per the academy’s website, it provides tourists a cultural experience in the form of “high quality cooking classes” taught by local chefs “in the heart of Florence.”

Previously, both finished a four-week professional cooking course at the Center for Asian Culinary Studies (CACS). Although Santos has always been fond of cooking, it was only later on that Agoncillo took up the spatula and skillet. Santos revealed in 2015 on “Kris TV” that her husband took cooking classes after they considered living abroad with their children.

Santos also has a YouTube vlog, “Judy Ann’s Kitchen” which, apart from teaching delicious homemade dishes, has brought in laughs with her no-filter commentary. Perhaps the next episodes will feature Italian-style dishes—and maybe a cameo from her husband.  /ra
