‘Mob Psycho 100’ live-action to premiere May 22 on Netflix
The first season of the” Mob Psycho 100″ live-action series will premiere on May 22 for Netflix’s English-speaking subscribers in the United States.
Netflix’s May slate listed the premiere dates of several new shows and movies including “Mob Psycho 100,” as reported by Entertainment Weekly.
The series premiered for the Japanese audience on Jan. 12. The show is an adaptation of a similarly titled manga comic created by Japanese author ONE. It was first published in April 2012, then ended in December 2017.
Netflix’s series stars Tatsuomi Hamada as Mob, the show’s main character. Mob is a powerful psychic who wears blank expression because he needs to constantly keep his emotions in check. When pushed too far, he gets overcome by his suppressed emotions, and his psychic abilities tend to go out of control. Kazuki Namioka and Nogizaki46 idol group member Yuki Yoda play as Mob’s companions Reigen and Tsubomi.
A second season of the “Mob Psycho 100” anime adaptation is also in the works.
