You would never expect to age younger when you have your picture taken.
For Nova Villa, this is what happened when she posed for a photo. Seconds later, she aged backwards and turned into the youthful Sarah Geronimo in the teaser for “Miss Granny” released yesterday.
Villa portrays a grumpy elderly woman who first thought that she was going to die when she reached 30. Tragedy then strikes when a family member is hospitalized, making her feel unappreciated when her son pushed her away. She then stumbles upon a portrait studio after seeing a photo of Audrey Hepburn, inspiring her to smile for the camera “bago ako pumangit (before I turn ugly).“
Also seen in the teaser is James Reid who plays her grandson and aspiring musician. He will also be the love interest in the movie.
“Miss Granny” is an adaptation from a 2014 South Korean comedy-drama flick. Directed by Bb. Joyce Bernal and to be released under Viva Entertainment, catch how the movie unfolds when it hits theaters on Aug. 29. /ra
