Sunshine Cruz is a proud mom to her two daughters who just reached milestones in their basic education.
Her eldest, Angelina will be moving up to senior high school, while the youngest Chesca graduated from elementary and will be in junior high school.
Though Cruz has raised her daughters mostly on her own, her boyfriend Macky Mathay was present in both ceremonies.
Mathay expressed his happiness and pride for the two girls. On Angelina’s moving up ceremony, he wrote, “Your mom is very proud of you and if you still do not know by now, I am very much proud of you too. Good luck in Senior High, I am sure that you will definitely do well! We love you!”
He told Chesca, “Thank you for inviting me also to your Grade 6 Graduation Ceremonies… I know that your mom is really REALLY proud of you and please know that I am so proud of you too!”
“Thank you for the support you’ve been giving to the girls. Thank you my Macky,” wrote the actress in one post.
Some netizens wondered where Cesar Montano, the father of their three daughters, was. The couple has been estranged for about five years; Cruz sued him for marital rape and abuse in 2013 which Montano denied.

In early March, it was revealed that their children has been spending time with Montano, albeit to his sister Maria Mercedes’ disapproval.
“Just be happy your brother is still allowed to see his children,” Cruz responded to her.
Despite the tension concerning Montano, she and Mathay have been dating for nearly two years. Since then, the two have spent time not only together but also with one another’s children, making for a blended family. In a September 2017 interview, Cruz emphasized that they both sought their children’s approval regarding their relationship, and that Mathay treats her daughters like his own. JB
