Angeline Quinto clarified persistent rumors that she underwent cosmetic procedures including a nose job.
In early February, the 28-year-old singer and actress was prompted to explain that she was only considering a nose job when a netizen asked her where she had gotten her nose done.
Twitter user @LoisaGarcia4 asked, “San mo pala pinagawa ilong mo? Gayahin ko sana (Where did you get your nose done? I was hoping to copy it).”
Quinto responded, “Papagawa ko palang siguro next month. Basta this year papa-consult palang ako sa doctor. Balitaan kita agad (I’m going to have it done maybe next month. This year I’m going to consult with a doctor. I’ll let you know).”
When the netizen insisted she had her nose done, she added that she was seeing a doctor under the Belo Medical Group and that she planned to “trim” her nose instead of making it sharper.
She told the Philippine Entertainment Portal that she consulted a doctor four years ago regarding the procedure.
“Naiinggit lang ako sa mga ibang artista na ipinanganak yung ganung ilong, pointed agad (I envied the other actors who were born with that kind of sharp nose),” she said.
She noted that she was hesitant about having it done because other people have asked, “Bakit mo gagawin (Why would you do it)?”
To prove her nose is real, she even dared, “Suntukin n’yo ako nang harapan kung mababali ang ilong ko (Punch me in the front and see if my nose will bend).”
However, she owned up to other procedures, such as liposuction four years ago under Belo and making her eyelids deep-set.
She also admitted to having breast-reduction surgery around three years ago, the size reduced from 36-inch Cup D to 36-inch Cup B.
She cited that performing on noontime show ASAP was a consideration in making her bust smaller. “Dumadating po kami sa point na sobrang fit na yung gown sa katawan ko, pero pagdating dito [sa dibdib], mahirap (It came to the point that the gown was tight on my body but when it came to my chest, it was difficult).” Niña V.
