Songstress Angeline Quinto climbs ‘andas’ in Traslacion of Nazareno
Staunch Black Nazarene-devotee singer-actress Angeline Quinto was spotted scrambling on her feet to get atop the ‘andas’ in the Traslacion of Nazareno — her fourth time this year.
Quinto’s resolve to have another go at the image of the Black Nazarene was not dampened despite the fraught sea of people, all clambering and just as desperate to have a chance to touch the holy image. Thanks to the help of green-cladded “hijos” assigned to guard the andas, Quinto was able to climb and once more touch the image of the Black Nazarene, according to her home network ABS-CBN.
Quinto, as she shares in her social media accounts, is vocal when it comes to her devotion to the Black Nazarene.
A few days ago, the singer was found gushing over the life-sized replica of the Black Nazarene gifted to her by homegrown Apalit, Pampanga sculptor Joseph Magcalas.
In another photo she posted via Instagram, she is seen braving the frenetic crowd in the Traslacion of Nazareno last year.
For all it’s worth, it is safe to say that the devoted Quinto would be a regular face in the manifold Traslacions to come. JB
