Mark Hamill and director James Gunn have agreed to hang out over a cup of coffee and talk about the possibilities of the actor being in a “Guardians of the Galaxy” movie.
The exchange happened on Twitter when a fan asked Gunn if he could put a “Star Wars” icon in “Guardians 3.”
Gunn replied by saying Hamill just lived around the corner from his place in Malibu. Hamill could just come over for a cup of coffee and they could talk.
Hamill later chimed in that he would love to come over and talk, “both as a good neighbor & an unemployed actor.” He then asked Gunn to send him a direct message if the director was serious, and a good neighbor.
When Gunn mentioned that he might not be able to DM Hamill, the actor responded by following the director’s account.
The punchline comes when actor Josh Gad, who voiced Olaf the Snowman from Disney’s “Frozen,” saw the exchange and just couldn’t believe what happened. Gad could very well represent every fan who saw the conversation.
Whether or not Luke Skywalker’s actor will make it to the Marvel Cinematic Universe could depend on what kind of coffee Gunn has. /ra
