LOOK: Jackie Lou Blanco proud of her bikini body at 54

To celebrate her 54th birthday, actress Jackie Lou Blanco did the unexpected, and something that most women are afraid to do at her age — proudly flaunt her body.

Blanco sizzled in a maroon two-piece swimsuit while blocking her gaze from the scorching sun, as shown in a photo she shared on her Instagram page on Sunday. She admitted that the last time she donned a bikini was 20 years ago, when she joined the “Great Bodies” contest.

“My tummy was never flat. I was a chubby child,” the actress revealed in her post. “It still isn’t and that’s why I rarely wear one.”

She then went on that she eventually got conscious of her figure. She had a hard time shedding the excess weight three years ago. But thanks to her personal trainer, “little by little the weight came off and I started to get more toned.”

“I wasn’t sure whether I was going to post this foto, [b]ut as I turn a year older today, I realized I am not at that frustrating place I was years ago and I am grateful and thankful,” Blanco expressed.

For her special day, she chose to celebrate “my struggles, my [strengths],my [weaknesses] and my victories.” “I celebrate all the women out there, [a]ll shapes and sizes,” she added in dedication of other women.

Followers of the actress expressed their admiration for the actress’ physique, saying she is a “fitspiration” to them.
