Early birthday surprises came in the form of bouquets and bouquets of flowers, gourmet aperitifs, elaborate balloons in shades of pink and red, and even a Santo Nino statue for “Queen of All Media” Kris Aquino, who has yet to celebrate her 47th birthday this coming Valentine’s Day.
Aquino took to Instagram yesterday to thank her friends and family, as well as her endorsements for sending treats her way in light of her approaching birthday.
“I want to say THANK YOU to my #KCAP (Kris Cojuangco Aquino Productions),” wrote Aquino in gratitude. “They had to adjust & shoot 2 print endorsements here at home I was so pleasantly surprised w/ the early birthday surprise.”
Much has been going on with Aquino lately, whose schedule is packed to the brim with endorsements and projects. Yet, despite her being as busy as ever, Aquino doesn’t forget those who mean the most to her, her family, especially when it comes to their own milestones and special moments.
Older brother former President Benigno “Noynoy” Aquino III, celebrates his birthday this month as well, turning 58 last Feb. 8. Kris did not falter in sending a heartfelt birthday message to her kuya, uploading a throwback picture of him from when he was a baby.
“You all have to agree, he was 1 cute baby!” Kris wrote of her brother Noynoy. “To the man who possesses so many qualities I still need to grow up enough to possess, namely humility, natural simplicity, undemanding ways, liking a low profile and privacy, and really having had no other desire but to give true and dedicated public service, my only wish is good health, peace of mind, and that true & lasting love.”
Meanwhile, older sisters Aurora Corazon“Pinky” Abellada, Victoria Elisa “Viel” Aquino-Dee, and Maria Elena “Ballsy” Aquino-Cruz met Caroline Kennedy, the only surviving daughter of the late former President of the United States John F. Kennedy and Jacqueline Onassis.
Kris, unfortunately, missed the meeting due to her very low blood pressure, but expressed that it was an honor nonetheless that Caroline Kennedy specifically requested to meet the Aquino sisters.
“My ideals about govt service and dealing with family tragedy with grace & dignity have been shaped by their example,” wrote Kris last night, referring to the Kennedys. “Super nagpa kwento nalang ako-they (her sisters) all said she (Caroline Kennedy) was humble, eloquent, regal, and yet you feel her desire to do more good in the world.” /ra
