While Barbie Forteza maintained that she wanted to keep her previous relationship with Jak Roberto between them, her mom and sister caught the attention of netizens after making cryptic posts apparently in support of the actress.

Forteza confirmed that she and Roberto parted ways after a seven-year relationship on Thursday, Jan. 2, even as she thanked the latter for the “exceptional” love he showed her throughout. The actor, on the other hand, has yet to issue a statement.

But Forteza’s mother Imelda piqued the interest of netizens after expressing how proud she is of someone in a now-expired Instagram Story.

Imelda didn’t address anyone in particular in her post. However, the Instagram Story was posted on Jan. 1, a day before her daughter announced her split with Roberto.

“No one knows how much you went through this year, but you stayed strong and did quit. I’m so proud of you,” the post read.

Meanwhile, Forteza’s older sister Gabrielle Vierneza posted a photo of the actress laughing in mid-conversation on New Year’s Day as well.

“Gusto ko happy ka (I want you to be happy),” she said.

The actress responded to her sister’s post, finding her post to be amusing.

Forteza and Roberto’s relationship has been making headlines since the actress announced their split on the second day of the year. Both parties, however, maintained their silence on the cause of their breakup.

“Seven wonderful years. A lot of laughs, a lot of ramen and so much love. Your love was exceptional. But sometimes, good things fall apart so better things can come together. Beautiful goodbye, @jakroberto,” she said. “Thank you for loving me the way you did. I am excited for what’s to come for the both of us. You take care of yourself. May you find the love you deserve.”

Dubbed as JakBie, the ex-couple worked together in the film “Laut” and the series “Meant to Be” and “Kara Mia.”
