Aga Muhlach, Aiko Melendez’ classic ‘May Minamahal’ gets digitally-restored

One of the most iconic movies of the ’90s, “May Minamahal” starring Aga Muhlach and Aiko Melendez had been digitally-restored.

In a recent Instagram post by the actress, Aiko shared her excitement that her movie with her ex-boyfriend and good friend had been given a new look.

Moreover, just like most restored films, a screening for the movie is being cooked up by its producer Star Cinema.

The 1993 classic was a hit back in the day. Playing the lead characters of Carlitos (Aga) and Monica (Aiko), the movie revolved around the story of two people from opposite walks of life and falling in love.

Carlitos was a well-established young man from a well-to-do family who, unfortunately, had to assume the responsibility if being a breadwinner after his father died. He was the only one left to take care of his sisters and mom.

Monica on the other hand, was the unica hija of an all-boy family who were basically living steadily by their means. The drama in their story will unfold as their families try to accept their relationship and the changes both characters will affect on each other.
