The original Sang’gres of “Encantadia” all looked stunning and stylish for a ladies’ night after more than a decade since their series ended.
Iza Calzado, Karylle, Diana Zubiri and Sunshine Dizon starred in 2005’s “Encantadia” as sisters Amihan, Alena, Danaya and Pirena respectively. Sang’gres refer to royalty in the fantasy series.
The four reunited with director Mark Reyes, who teased in his photo, “We’re really up to something now!” as TV producer and division head of a streaming service Georgette Tengco also joined their company.
Netizens couldn’t help feel nostalgic, with some saying that the show brought them childhood memories. Others noted that the actresses didn’t seem to age.
In 2016, the show was rebooted with a new cast and ran from July 2016 to May 2017. Reyes also directed the series. /ra
