Jasmine Curtis-Smith was all sentimental as she looked back on her friendship with Edgar Allan Guzman.
The “Siargao” actress took to Instagram on Friday to share a post dedicated to Guzman and posted a photo of them together, along with a group shot of her and other friends as they watched his Metro Manila Film Festival (MMFF) entry, “Deadma Walking.”
She said she stumbled upon their photo together “while browsing through old memory cards.” “How awesome is this @eaguzman!” Curtis-Smith said.
Curtis-Smith remembered that Guzman was “so welcoming and kind” when she was new in the showbiz industry, and said that he saw his performance in his new film.
“Tears, laughter, and lots of love… what an emotional journey that really pinched at my heart!” she described her feelings after watching the movie. “EA, you truly were the best in this film. Grabe. DESERVE”
Ending her post, she congratulated the people behind the film and expressed her hope that she could watch more MMFF entries this weekend.
Guzman snagged the Best Supporting Actor Award at the film festival’s awards night, while Curtis-Smith was awarded as Best Supporting Actress for her role in the tropical paradise flick. /ra
