John Lloyd Cruz ended the past year by cursing at it.

“F*ck you, 2017. You didn’t break me. Salamat (Thanks),” he wrote in an Instagram post of fireworks.
The year 2017 saw the matinee idol go on a long personal break, leaving his role in the sitcom “Home Sweetie Home” up in the air.
Updates from the actor mainly came from social media posts. He and sitcom costar Ellen Adarna were romantically linked in September. Since then, pictures and videos of the two on vacation in the country and abroad have been shared on social media.

Some of the videos that surfaced showed Cruz apparently intoxicated, drawing him flak and leading him to issue an apology.

Posts on what is believed to be his personal Instagram account also drew controversy after he posted an illustration of a dissolving Jesus on the crucifix multiple times.
His relationship with Adarna continued to intrigue fans and non-fans alike, especially after it was reported that she was pregnant with his child. Since then, the couple has been spotted going on hospital visits together.
Both he and Adarna have yet to confirm their relationship and the pregnancy. /ra
