The true meaning of Christmas for Alden
Heartthrob Alden Richards now knows the true meaning of the holidays. He once confessed that, as a kid, he had equated the season with “just receiving gifts.”
Now that he is being showered with a continuous downpour of blessings, he has come to realize that Yuletide is all about “sharing and giving to the less fortunate.”
This year, he plans to treat his family to a trip to Japan, adding quickly that “anything from the heart will do.”
Christmas is always celebrated with the nearest and dearest—“going to church, having noche buena together, and exchanging presents. But no gift can be more precious than the love I offer them.”
He says that he can’t ask for anything more. “I just wish to find my purpose and fulfillment in life,” he asserts.
The most memorable Christmases were those spent with his mom Rosario, who passed away in 2008.

The family trip to Japan eventually pushed through, Alden told the Inquirer. He recently posted their photos frolicking in the snow on his Instagram page. He will be back two days after Christmas.
