Imperial and De Guzman haven’t kept their closeness a secret. The TV host and actress admitted in 2015 that they dated for a short period before he got back with then-girlfriend Jessy Mendiola.
They have remained friends, with Imperial seen in family events and supporting him in endeavors while he went on a showbiz break.
The actor went on a hiatus in 2015 to receive therapy and treatment for substance abuse.
She told the Philippine Entertainment Portal in Jan. 2017, “I’m happy for him, always.”
“Ako naman kasi, although everyone knows naman what happened to us, never akong nagkaroon ng sama ng loob sa kanya (Although everyone knows what happened to us, I’ve never had ill feelings toward him).
