Dad Jake boasted about Ellie’s strength by posting videos on his Instagram stories and captioned one with “Do u even lift?” as she pulled herself around a bar.

Like her mom, the six-year-old has shown an affinity for an active lifestyle and has already gotten into surfing. That may have helped Ellie to win that day, particularly three silver medals and a gold one—despite losing her shoes in the process.

Months earlier there was tension when Ejercito petitioned for joint custody of their daughter. The estranged couple has since reached an agreement.
In 2016, Ejercito was confirmed as Ellie’s father after Eigenmann’s sister revealed the fact in a podcast interview.
In Aug. 2017, Eigenmann told ABS-CBN News, “Everything is all okay now. Jake and I we share Ellie. Sharing is caring.”
