The passionate romance between Tesla founder Elon Musk and Hollywood starlet Amber Heard came to an abrupt end last August, and the pair admitted to have split in “good terms.”

Previous reports suggested that the 46-year-old tech icon was the one who decided to end the relationship but it turns out, it was the other way around.
Two months after the separation, Musk bared his soul and shared what really took place between the two.
“She broke up with me more than I broke up with her,” he told the Rolling Stone magazine. “I was really in love, and it hurt bad.”
The lovely pair, who first met on the set of the 2013 action-comedy film “Machete Kills,” engaged in a low-key, one-year romance, which was soon made public after Heard posted a photo of Musk with what appeared to be her lipstick on his cheek.
Heard was coming off a divorce from “Pirates of the Caribbean” star Johnny Depp, while Musk also separated from his second wife, Talulah Riley.
Musk also bared that the split also affected his mental psyche and almost hindered him from doing his responsibilities.
“I’ve been in severe emotional pain for the last few weeks,” he shared.
“Severe. It took every ounce of will to be able to do the Model 3 event and not look like the most depressed guy around. For most of that day, I was morbid. And then I had to psych myself up: drink a couple of Red Bulls, hang out with positive people and then, like, tell myself: ‘I have all these people depending on me. All right, do it!'”
Meanwhile, Musk continues to be hands-on with the “SpaceX” project, which hopes to pioneer human colonization of Mars.
His net worth is currently estimated by Forbes at $7.7 billion. Khristian Ibarrola /ra
