Doc Ferds Recio named ‘Media Personality of the Year’ at Laurel Wreath Awards 2017
Kapuso network’s resident veterinarian, Dr. Ferds Recio, just won the Sotero Laurel Media Personality of the Year award at the recently concluded Laurel Wreath awards.
Held at the Lyceum of the Philippines in Cavite, Recio also received the Best Wildlife and Environment Program for his weekly travel and wildlife show “Born To Be Wild”.
In a recent Instagram video post, the hunk vet was shown having fun with the university students during recognition night.

Along with fellow resident Kapuso vet Dr. Nielsen Donato, “Born To Be Wild” through the years has received numerous accolades for being a highly informative nature documentary show, featuring wildlife stories, rescues and conservation.

But the resident wildlife vets do not only treat animals in distress; they also help promote tourism through their expeditions in the country’s most beautiful spots, as well as its wildest frontiers.
