Star Cinema’s newest family drama-comedy film “Seven Sundays” reached another milestone as it hit the P180 million mark in earnings withing just three weeks of release.
The development was proudly announced by Star Cinema through a recent Instagram post.
Last Oct. 17, Star Cinema reported that the movie already reached the P100 million mark in earnings.
“Seven Sundays” features a star-studded cast of brilliant actors from several generations. Among the main cast members are Ronaldo Valdez, Aga Muhlach, Dingdong Dantes, Enrique Gil and Cristine Reyes.
The story revolves around a sick father who was only left with seven weeks to live, and asks his busy and grown working children to spend seven Sundays with him.
The film also serves as Muhlach’s comeback movie from a long big screen hiatus. His return to the movies was much-anticipated by his fans, who still regard the actor as the country’s premiere leading man.
Meanwhile, “Seven Sundays” is Dantes’ seventh film under Star Cinema, despite him being with rival network GMA. JB
