LOOK: Karla Estrada remembers simpler days with Daniel Padilla
Karla Estrada took to Instagram to muse about simpler days with her eldest son, Daniel Padilla.
The picture showed a young DJ wearing a long white polo while seated in a landscaped area.
It was taken after his preschool graduation; the proud mom recalls Daniel tumbling before and after the picture.
“Noong sapat lang ang buhay para sa ating mag-ina ay maligaya tayo,” said the actress, who shot to fame in her teens in the TV show “That’s Entertainment”. (Life was just enough for us mother and son and we were happy.)
Karla gave birth to him when she was 20; he is her son with actor Rommel Padilla. She would go on to raise her four children on her own.
She has been supportive of Daniel’s career, earning her the name “Queen Mother” from Daniel’s fans.
He has since become a household name with hit TV shows “Got to Believe” and “Pangako Sa ‘Yo”, and movies such as “She’s Dating the Gangster” and “Crazy Beautiful You”.
Daniel’s stardom has allowed him to provide his family a comfortable life, including a house for his mother.
“Kaya dapat sa buhay na masagana, dapat walang dahilan na hindi tumawa,” advised Estrada.
“Ipagdiwang natin ang kontento at masayang buhay mga anak!!!” (In an abundant life, there is no reason not to laugh. Let’s celebrate a happy and content life.) JB
