After keeping mum on the Pepsi ad controversy, Kendall Jenner finally gave her piece on the matter.

The model drew flak when she starred in an ad that appeared to make light of protests in a politically heated America. From a photo shoot, she joins a protest and creates peace by handing a can of soda to one of the police officers.

Released in April 2017, the ad was deemed insensitive considering the police brutality that has been occurring in the United States.

After the backlash, the ad was pulled out the next day.

Six months after the controversy, Jenner addressed the issue on the season premiere of “Keeping Up with the Kardashians” and became emotional.

On her own in the show’s confessional, the 21-year-old explained, “When I first got this offer, I mean it’s a huge company. The people I was following were so iconic and amazing. Michael Jackson has done it. Britney Spears has done it. Beyoncé has done it. Pink. The list goes on.”

“After I saw the reaction and I read what people had to say about it, I most definitely saw what went wrong. Like I just felt so f*cking stupid,” she said in tears. “The fact that I would offend other people or hurt other people was definitely not the intent.”

In a part of the episode, she opens up to big sister Kim Kardashian. ”I feel really bad that anyone was ever offended. I feel really bad that this was taken such a wrong way and I genuinely feel like sh*t. I have no idea how I’m gonna bounce back from it.”

Kardashian’s advice goes, “This is just gonna be the biggest lesson learned for you… It should affect you in a way where you grow from it… You know? But I just wish that you could see that there is light at the end of the tunnel and that it will be OK if you’re just like honest.”  /ra
