WATCH: ‘The Simpsons’ spoof ‘Game of Thrones’ in 29th season premiere
As the long wait for “Game of Thrones” season 8 continues, “The Simpsons” helped to soothe GoT fans’ anticipation with an episode dedicated to spoofing the well-loved fantasy TV series
Titled “The Serfsons”, this episode was full of references to GoT events, locations and characters, according to a report by Deadline.
Right off the bat, Marge’s mother gets turned into an Ice Walker. This prompted Homer into asking Lisa to perform illegal magic to reverse the effect. The King discovered Lisa’s use of magic and had her kidnapped. Homer then leads an uprising to save his daughter.
Some of the nods to GoT include the sending of a raven, which Bart and Millhouse used to pull a prank on Moe.
Heads on spikes came courtesy of Ned Flanders and a few others. Ned also happens to share his name with Ned Stark, whose fate is known to every GoT fan.
