James Cameron recently revealed that Linda Hamilton, the actor who played Sarah Connor, will be returning for a new “Terminator” movie. Its premiere date has been set to July 26, 2019.

According to Variety, Paramount made the announcement on Wednesday. Arnold Schwarzenegger will also be returning to reprise his role as the iconic T-800 killer robot.

A previous report stated that this upcoming movie will be a direct sequel to “Terminator 2: Judgement Day”. “Deadpool” director Tim Miller will be at the helm.

Cameron also revealed that they are casting for new actors who will take up the torch after Hamilton and Schwarzenegger.

“The Terminator” premiered in 1984 and starred Linda Hamilton as a waitress who became the target of a time traveling killer robot (Schwarzenegger). Several sequels and a TV series called “Terminator: The Sarah Connor Chronicles” were made afterwards. Alfred Bayle/JB
