Kit Harington and Rose Leslie have officially announced their engagement.
BBC reports that an engagement announcement has been published in the Times newspaper. It reads, “The engagement is announced between Kit, younger son of David and Deborah Harington of Worcestershire, and Rose, middle daughter of Sebastian and Candy Leslie of Aberdeenshire.”
The British actors met on “Game of Thrones” in 2012, where they played each other’s love interests—and became famous because of a sex scene.
“It was my first sex scene that I’ve ever done and it was weird,” said Leslie to People in a 2014 interview.
“Kit is a lovely and funny man, and a dear friend. We had known each other before we started working together on Game of Thrones. It was always such a privilege to be working opposite him and such a blessing that we get on in real life because it made our characters more believable,” she said.
According to People, they reportedly dated for a year before separating. While it was speculated that the two had reconciled in 2016, they made a public appearance at the Olivier Awards in London.

In a L’Uomo Vogue interview in 2016, Harington said he “fell in love” while shooting in Iceland with Leslie: “If you’re already attracted to someone, and then they play your love interest in the show, it becomes very easy to fall in love.”
He admitted in June 2017 on “The Late Late Show with James Corden” that they were living together. “I’ve moved in with my other best friend, Rose. I’m very, very happy and it’s going well.” Niña V. Guno /ra
