Whatever size a pregnant woman is in, whether “You’re so big / small/ medium, barely showing/ enormous” Lahbati warns, “Just. Don’t. Go. There. Nothing you say will be interpreted [as to] the way you meant it.”

Another question usually asked to a pregnant woman is, “Was it planned?” Lahbati states, “If someone tells you they’re pregnant it’s because they’re happy and excited and no one needs to be interrogated by pregnancy police. Congratulations will do.”

Being pregnant entails a lot of physical changes. So when somebody says, “Grabe nag be breakout ka na talaga, noh?” (Gosh, you’re really breaking out, right?) Lahbati recommends this answer: “Oo ate, buntis ako eh. Try mo, para alam mo!” (Yes sister, because I’m pregnant. You should try, so you’ll know!)

Lahbati recently announced her pregnancy via Instagram. This is her second pregnancy with fiance, actor Richard Gutierrez. Their first born, Zion, is now four years old. JB
