Chapter Two will be set 27 years later for the next time “It”—who appears as the evil Pennywise the clown (Bill Skarsgård)—strikes on its murderous spree again.

While the Losers Club will be all grown-up, the seven youngsters will still make flashbacks, said director Andy Muschietti.

“I want to make his character the one pivotal character who brings them all together, but staying in Derry took a toll with him,” said Muschietti.

“He’s not just the collector of knowledge of what Pennywise has been doing in Derry. He will bear the role of trying to figure out how to defeat him. The only way he can do that is to take drugs and alter his mind.”

As in the book, Chapter Two will see the adult Losers returning to the town to take down It, though one character would rather not face his fears again, and takes his own life. This will be Stan Uris, the Jewish character who gets bullied for his religion.  Niña V. Guno /ra
