Has DC cast its Nightwing actor?
DC has supposedly found its Nightwing in actor Finn Wittrock, according to unofficial sources.
In a now removed post, Facebook fan page DC Extended Universe claimed that the 32-year-old actor got the part, and that the Teen Titans would have supporting roles in the movie.
Nightwing is the grown-up alter ego of Dick Grayson, an orphan whom Bruce Wayne adopted and would go on to be Batman’s first sidekick, Robin.
The Teen Titans are former sidekicks of major superheroes who banded together to make their own superhero team.
Still, DCEU followers have been skeptical of the unofficial source. The person behind the DCEU page said on Reddit, “I can confirm it knowing what I know. Until it’s confirmed, I think it’s best to take it with a grain of salt. Reason being that Finn has the role in the bag, but it isn’t finalized. So it’s not official.”

Fans have since made composites of Wittrock in the Nightwing costume—one of which the actor retweeted.
Not only does the actor just look the part with his dark hair and boyish charm, he also has the acting chops. He has received critical praise for his performance in the “American Horror Story” series and was in Academy Award-winning film “La La Land”.
According to Collider, “The LEGO Batman Movie” director McKay has high expectations for whoever will land the part.
“[Nightwing’s] superpower is being really f*cking good, as a human being, at fighting and gymnastics and sh*t like that, so you’re gonna see that on screen,” he shared in the report.
“It’s gonna be a f*cking badass action movie with a lot of heart and emotion… It’s gonna be real stuntwork, and they’re gonna need to do all of the stuff on camera and do it credibly. It’s gonna be fun!” he added. Niña V. Guno/JB
