Selena Gomez may have a long-lost twin in Mexico.

The 26-year-old actress and singer, who is of Mexican and Italian descent, has a fan who bears an uncanny resemblance to her.

Mexican Sofia Solares’ photos on Instagram have gone viral because of her similarity in looks with the “Bad Liar” singer.

At the very least, it may be imagined that the two women could have been sisters in a past life:

Solares is a Gomez fan, and hopes that she would get a shoutout from the star one day.

“Yes, I love Selena Gomez and I declare myself a fan of hers and of course it would be a dream to know that she is aware of my existence,” she said to E! News in an exclusive interview (in quotes translated from Spanish).

“If she were to take a few minutes to write something to me—I would cry of happiness!”

While she’s no stranger to being told of her resemblance to Gomez, she still wants to be known for her own identity. “It’s not something that I dislike, but I like it better when they love me for being myself,” she explained in the report.

She added, “I mean, it’s great that I look like her, but I don’t want to lose myself trying to be someone that I’m not!” JB
