Proud to rock a #chesterbennington wall with two of my oldest friends @_kryst_ and @mr_kub_ … it’s in the parking lot behind @rocknpies and the businesses on coldwater and riverside #lagraffiti #linkinpark

Perhaps the most vivid tribute came from American artist Jonas Never, who painted a mural of Bennington in front of Rock and Pies Pizza Co. in Sherman Oaks, California, USA.

The stunning image, which continues to mesmerize bystanders and passersby, captures Bennington in all smiles.

“When I heard Chester died, I immediately thought of that wall because I knew some of the band members lived in the Valley,” he described the mural to Variety, which took two days to complete.

Never added that he happened to stumble upon a rare photo of the rock legend “smiling, very recognizable, with all his tattoos visible,” and decided to use it as inspiration.

“I thought it would be better than having him up there screaming,” he said, adding that passing drivers were “beeping and cheering” when he was painting it.

Aside from the mural, a portrait of Bennington was posted on the Warner Bros. records building in Burbank, California, USA, where grieving fans continue to lay flowers and other mementos of the late artist. /ra

From day 1 of @chesterbe of @linkinpark’s passing, one of my closest friends has been checking in on me, making sure I’m ok. He knows what Chester and Linkin Park mean to me. Yesterday he took me to @wbr to see Chester’s memorial. It was unbelievable being there and seeing everything. You could feel the pain, but also the love of everyone affected by this horrible loss. We hung out a while, and left some candles from us and my brother. Thank you @bloody_ben13 for taking me and for everything. It really meant the world to me, and I’m grateful for friends like you. Chester, I love and miss you so much. ♥️💔 In Loving Memory Chester Bennington March 20, 1976 – July 20, 2017 @m_shinoda @phoenixlp @mrjoehahn @braddelson @heydudeimadam @lorenzoerr @superchris32 @wbr #RIPChesterBennington #LinkinPark #RIP #ChesterBennington #RIPChester #InLovingMemory #heartbroken #lovehim #misshim #LPULifer #MikeShinoda #RobBourdon #BradDelson #Phoenix #JoeHahn #band #music #LPU #lifer #LPST #LinkinParkStreetTeam #hero #legend #musician #singer #WeAreLPU #LPsoldier #love #memorial #WarnerBrosRecords
