The long wait is over. Kapamilya actress Sarah Lahbati is taking on another milestone in her life as she is set to become the wife of one of local showbiz’s biggest stars, Richard Gutierrez.
In a recent Instagram post, the Kapamilya actress expressed her happiness with a declaration: “I’m marrying my best friend.”
She posted a photo of herself and Gutierrez together, as he knelt down before her, apparently bearing a ring he was presenting to her. Her post stated “Zermatt, Switzerland” as location.

Just as Lahbati did, Gutierrez also posted a photo of their engagement in the same picturesque landscape. His version showed him carrying Lahbati as they shared a kiss.
The photo in Gutierrez’s post showed a clearer view of the huge diamond ring worn by Lahbati. He captioned his post, “I love you and I can’t wait to start this new chapter of our lives together.”

The engagement’s location, before the snowcapped mountains of the aforesaid Swiss town, bears a special meaning in Lahbati’s life, who also happens to be Swiss-Filipino. Switzerland is the same country where the actress took refuge in 2012, a time when she sought privacy away from the limelight during her pregnancy with her first born, baby Zion, also fathered by Gutierrez.
Prior to the arrival of her engagement ring, Lahbati already bore a bold blue sapphire band she called a “promise ring.” As per her previous interviews, the ring has long been given to her by Gutierrez, and which she wears only during a few special occasions. JB
