Sarah Lahbati glitters with ‘promise ring,’ prefers being a November bride

They may not be married yet but showbiz power couple Richard Gutierrez and Sarah Lahbati are committed to solidifying their love for each other through a “promise ring.”
Aside from her cleavage-revealing black sequined gown, what made her truly sparkling at last night’s special screening of her latest movie “Ang Pagsanib Kay Leah Dela Cruz” was her blue sapphire ring.

“I’m wearing our promise ring tonight,” said Lahbati, who stunned onlookers at Cinema 1 in Robinsons Galleria.
But when asked about their wedding plans, she only said, “The right time will come [for marriage].” And although new to the eyes of the entertainment press, Lahbati said the ring has long been given to her by Gutierrez, about “four years ago when we were in L.A.”
She radiates contentment as she is living a very happy life, being a partner to Gutierrez and a mother to their young son Zion. But with the press people’s unceasing questions about a possible marriage to Gutierrez, she simply said it could wait:
“I’m so happy and I wish I couldn’t wish for anything. Darating din tayo diyan, malapit na. (We will get there, soon.)”
However, the 23-year-old mom did not disclose to the entertainment press the promise behind the promise ring: “Ayoko, ang dami ko na ini-reveal sa inyo.”
(No, I don’t want [to say anything further], I’ve already revealed too much to all of you.)
November bride
Traditionally, weddings happen more frequently in June, hence the tag “June bride.” However, Lahbati does not want to join the roster of women choosing June for their wedding month. Instead, she prefers November.
“Mainit ang June… ano ba ang buwan na malamig? December? Ah, baka November bride.” (June is hot… What is the cooler month? December? Oh, November bride.)
While June is basically a mix of hot and rainy weather, she’d rather not expose her wedding look to possible intervention by forces of nature.
“Ayoko ng mainit kasi mahuhulas ako,” she said while laughing hard.
