Shy Carlos admits to being NBSB at 22

In this day and age, when getting into relationships comes too easily among teenagers, it is hard to find somebody, let alone a pretty girl in her 20s, who has not yet been with anybody romantically. But one certified “no-boyfriend-since-birth” (NBSB) girl is Viva Artists Agency talent Shy Carlos.
Normally, people who have not had boyfriends or girlfriends since birth are thought of as either not attractive or too conservative. But 22-year-old Carlos would surely debunk any ugly duckling myth. With her angelic face, flawless complexion and petite body, she looks like the ever pretty student who always gets the yearly muse position at school Intramurals.
But despite being blessed with charming looks, Carlos admitted that she is indeed a member of the NBSB club. At the special screening of her latest movie “Ang Pagsanib Kay Leah Dela Cruz”, Carlos shocked some members of the entertainment press who could not believe she has never had any boyfriend.
“No boyfriend since birth po ako,” she declared.
Further expounding on her hard-to-believe revelation, “Wala lang, mas masaya, I mean, sobrang important sa ‘kin na kilalanin ko ‘yung sarili ko at maging sobrang confident ako sa sarili ko before I share myself to another person.”
(It’s very important for me to know myself, and be really confident about myself first, before I share myself with another person.)
With a face and body like hers, having no boyfriend since birth is surely a matter of choice. Yet driven by curiosity, a reporter could not help but ask, “Hindi ka ba ligawin?” (Are you not pursued by guys?)
Her answer to the question was quite unbelievable.
“Hindi eh, I mean hindi naman, meron naman mga ano (admirers) pero hindi ako ma-reply. ‘Pag alam kong papunta na doon, oops! Pero hindi rin talaga ako ligawin.”
(No, [I am not normally pursued by guys]. I mean of course there are admirers, but I don’t respond too much. When I see it’s leading to [the courtship stage], I back off. But I don’t really have too many suitors.)
Despite being single all her life, she certainly got praises from the media for her beauty, hence their shock that guys have been letting this stunner pass. JB
