WATCH: Kit Harington even more good-looking in person, says ‘Game of Thrones’ actor

“Game of Thrones,” for all of its astounding plots and effects is, for the most part, grim.

But there are times when the winter is made bearable. One of these is the lasting friendship between Jon Snow (Kit Harington) and Samwell Tarly (John Bradley) as they serve as soldiers at the Night’s Watch.

In Harington’s portrayal, Jon has become one of the most popular characters, thanks to his smoldering, pretty-boy looks, paired with the heart of a strong and compassionate leader.

“Is he as good-looking in person as he appears on television?” asked comedian and host Conan O’Brien during an interview at the San Diego Comic Convention.

English actor Bradley immediately reacted.

“Oh, this guy,” he said, if somewhat both impressed and bitter. “You see him onscreen he’s nice enough. It’s nothing compared to what I’m gonna call the ‘live experience,’” he swooned.

“It’s a bit like only ever seeing the Mona Lisa as a jpeg on somebody’s phone,” he explained. “‘Yeah, it’s a pretty good painting but I’m not blown away by it.’ Then you see him in real life and you’re like, ‘Good lord.’”

While he wants to be happy for his charmingly handsome co-star, he wishes he left him with at least one of his many attractive traits.

“He’s got a double dose of all the good stuff. It’s the spot between good-looking, vulnerable, smart, talented. I’d just wished he’d leave me with one thing,” he said.

Like most of us, Bradley may feel his self-esteem drop next to Harington, but we hope he doesn’t mind that fans are still rooting for a Jon-Sam reunion on the show.  /ra
