“Wonder Woman” director Patty Jenkins, the main woman behind the film’s whipping success, is still in negotiations to helm the film. She has been working with writer Geoff Johns on the sequel’s script, which is said to be set in the Cold War.

Gal Gadot continues to play “Wonder Woman” in “Justice League,” which will screen this November. While it’s practically a given that she will star in the sequel, she has yet to be announced in her reprising role.

“Aquaman” comes out in 2018, while 2019 is a busy year for DC with “The Batman” featuring Ben Affleck and “Shazam!” making their premiere.

Marvel’s first solo female superhero movie, “Captain Marvel,” also premieres in 2019. /ra
