‘Descendants of the Sun’ star Song Joong-ki shares fan support after engagement with Song Hye Kyo
Fans of the hit South Korean television series “Descendants of Sun” are still gushing about the on-screen-turned-real-life romance romance between co-stars Song Joong-ki and Song Hye Kyo.

In an interview with members of the local Korean media, the 31-year-old actor recently opened up about his engagement to the 35-year-old actress and the outpour of support he received from fans.
“Married couples say they don’t feel it’s real until the wedding day,” he said. “I think it’s similar (to what I’m feeling). This morning, someone walking by said congratulations. A lady at the sauna also congratulated me. I feel so grateful for fans and passersby who congratulate me with bright faces,” he continued.
Joong-ki also revealed that he was the one who urged Hye-kyo to reveal their wedding plans to the public.
Article continues after this advertisement“Honestly, it’s true that I thought it would be better to make the announcement after the film’s release,” he said, referring to his upcoming movie, “The Battleship Island”.

“There were many unfounded rumors about me and Hye-kyo, and there were times I was upset about that,” he explained. “That’s why I decided to reveal everything.”
Aside from discussing the love of his life, Joong-ki also shared his admiration for fellow Korean actor Cha Tae-hyun.
“I think he is the best man in Korea,” Song Joong-ki said of him, describing Cha as someone devoted to both family and work. KI
