Before she dropped her newest single “Sorry Not Sorry,” Demi Lovato penned a tear-jerking letter to her staunch “Lovatics.”
In a post on her social media accounts, the singer reflected on her recent holiday in Hamburg, Germany, where she promised to embark on a new chapter in her life with supportive nudge from her fans.
“I’ll admit, I was worried that people would get upset with me,” Lovato professed. “But what I saw was that instead of getting upset, literally every single one of you wrapped your arms around me and showed me how unwavering your love and support is.”
Last year, Lovato’s career was marred by obstacles. Her six-year relationship with actor Wilmer Valderrama sadly ended, and she threatened to quit from music last October to focus on her charitable endeavors.
She has apparently regained her momentum to be able produce more tracks and perform again. “I am lucky to be in a position to have the love and support of tens of millions of people,” Lovato said. “Thank you for allowing me to take the time I needed at the end of last year to step away from all the craziness.”
