WATCH: Godzilla anime debuts first trailer

With the movie scheduled for release in Japan on November, the Godzilla anime film’s international debut will follow shortly after through Netflix.

As previously reported, “Godzilla: Monster Planet” is set to be a trilogy of movies. The movies will be produced by Toho and Polygon Pictures. The latter also worked on the shows “Knights of Sidonia”, “Star Wars: The Clone Wars”, ”Ajin: Demi-Human”, and the movie adaptation for the manga “Blame!”

Direction will be handled by directors Kobun Shizuno and Hiroyuki Seshita who both also worked on “Knights of Sidonia”.

“Godzilla: Kaijū Wakusei (Godzilla: Monster Planet)” is set 20,000 years into the future, after mankind escaped the Earth due to the threat of extinction from deadly creatures known as “Kaiju” and Godzilla. Humankind returns thousands of years later to fight the monsters and reclaim their home planet. JB
